Search Terms
A name, location, or other query entered in a search tool is sent to the third-party provider that operates that feature. Hardin County Released Inmates does not store or log those search terms on its own systems. The provider’s privacy rules govern its handling of the query.
Messages
Email and contact-form messages are retained as needed to read, route, and answer the request. They are not shared outside the organization unless disclosure is required by law or a valid legal process.
Automatic Technical Data
Standard technical information may be recorded when a page loads. It can include:
- The connecting IP address.
- Browser name and version.
- Device type and operating system.
- Pages viewed and time spent on them.
- The referring website, when available.
- Date and time stamps.

These choices concern data held by this private site. Requests about a jail, court, KOOL, VINE, or other government record must go to that record’s custodian.
